Rules of The Iron Chefs

These rules are in place to protect all Clan members and to try and create a strong and valued Clan. They are not intended to be all inclusive meaning that you should use them as basis but apply common sense at all times. While you are welcome to provide feedback to leadership on these rules they should be considered as “cast in stone”, especially if you find yourself on the wrong side of them.

If any rules are unclear please ask a member of the Leadership Team.

If you wish to undertake an action that you are unsure about, please ask a member of the Leadership Team before undertaking that action.

Using the Clan stash
- The Clan stash is in place for all Clan members to make use of in their daily KoL life. The stash is not a mechanism for you to achieve personal profit by selling, trading, or any other action. Here are a few simple guidelines to try and provide the maximum benefit for all members;
  - Do not take the last of any item from the stash - ever.
  - Do not take more food/drink that you can consume in that day. e.g. no more than 2 hell ramen or 7 cocktails
  - Do not take items from the stash to sell, even if you donate the proceeds back to the Clan Coffer. We have dedicated stores for this function.
  - Do not donate high karma but essentially useless items in order to boost your karma. Items with similar karma values often do not have similar actual value.
  - Do not take items from the stash for any mutli’s or friends.
- The Clan takes a very hard line on stealing from the Clan. We will do everything in our power to prevent it, should we fail, the Clan as a whole will do everything in its power to 1) make your KoL life miserable and 2) spread the word wide and far that you are a looter.
- In all matters relating to perceived or actual stash violation we will boot first and ask questions later.
Supporting the Clan
- You are expected to donate to the Clan stash or Clan coffers at least once a week.
- You are encouraged to smith/cook/mix/farm for the Clan. You may take items from the stash for this purpose (up to your karma limit) as long as you return the finished product or unused items within a 24 hour period. If you fail to return the items within 24 hours you may be treated as a looter!
- If you do not login to KoL for a period exceeding 30 days you will be deemed inactive and removed from the Clan without prejudice.
Representing the Clan
- Everybody can easily see which Clan you are a member of, if you act inappropriately anywhere in KoL (especially chat) this reflects badly on the Clan and may result in you being removed from the Clan without notice.
- "Inappropriately" is defined by the game creators and chat moderators and includes
  - Jackassary,
  - Spam,
  - Scamming,
  - Flaming,
  - Excessive profanity and
  - Anything Else deemed unfriendly to the community as a whole.
- It is against KoL policy to have a multi in the same Clan as your main character or another multi you own.

1. Looting from the clan stash is not permitted! ( Clan Leaders do monitor stash activity and members that loot will be immediately banned from the clan and reported to the Looter's List. Only those members granted permission, by Clan Leadership, may take from the clan stash for the purposes of selling the item/items taken. )
1A. Taking items from the stash for personal character use is PERMITTED.
1B. Do not take all of an item from the stash. Leave something for someone else. (This is where the clan trusts you to take for today and not tomorrow...while you may take for personal use, how much you take at one time may leave another needing member without. Use good judgment here and think of others.)
1C. Taking a expensive item and putting in newbie items is frowned upon.

2. A Contribution to the stash or coffers must be made once a week.

3. Assuming karma ( means that you can take as much as you want without regards to other members ) is not permitted.

4. This is KOL Policy: Multis cannot be in the same clan. It is also clan policy.
4A. Using the stash to supply any multis will be grounds for immediate removal from the clan.

5. If you violate KOL Chat Policy and you are banned for any reason, you will be immediately removed from the clan.
5B. Please avoid jackassery ( this is a common term found within KOL Chat Channels used to describe behavior that is childish, rude, disrespectful, vulgar, etc... ) while participating in the Clan Forums and while communicating with Clan Members. You should respect everyone at all times. Repeated warnings from leadership over violation of this rule will lead to removal from the clan.

6. Requests for Clan jobs or specific duties ( including those that do not directly lead to title changes ) should never be submitted to clan leadership through email of any type. Please use the application provided in the: "Help Wanted: Your Clan Has Jobs for YOU!" forum. Instructions are provided with the application.

7. If you do not sign on to KOL for 30 days you will be removed from the clan.

These are the rules that Clan Leadership has established. They are not open for debate or contest. The rules presented here, are intended to allow for all clan members to participate equally and fairly.
